Debra Fear - Digital Video and Sound Fine Artist
This piece continues under the framework of processing components of Gilles Deleuze's theories on art, cinema and philosophy; which has been a significant portion of my practice. Expressed through a 'B-movie' science fiction filter, there is a synthesis of action and time-image interwoven into an environmental message. The split screen look satisfies and plays with the ecological idea of a 'closed loop' system. Ideally it should be projected onto the corner of two walls, creating an image slippage distorted by the wall's 'fold' - adding a final dynamic twist to the piece. It is a limited edition of three.
